Russian Sturgeon Caviar 125gr

Originated from the former Soviet Union, it mainly habituated in the Black Sea waters including the Caspian Sea and was introduced to China in 1993. Russian Sturgeon is of large size and high growth speed with strong disease resistance ability. After artificial domestication, it has become a high-quality breed in ponds and reservoirs of industrial fish farming. The first sexual maturity of Russian Sturgeon is at 7 – 9 years while it is 12 – 16 years for the female and 11 – 13 years for the male.

   Siberian Sturgeon is long and of spindle shape with a height that is 12% - 14% of its length. Its round lips are short and obtuse. There are 5 lines of bone lamellas on the back and many small bone lamellas scattered between these rows. The back is normally of grey, light green or ink green colors with hazel on the sides and grey and citrine on the venter. The larva usually has a blue back and a white venter. The range of temperature for growth is 18～25℃ with the most suitable temperature of 20～24℃.
